Biography

Alice is a British Jewellery Designer, Research Associate at Central’s St Martin and has exhibited at V&A, Somerset House, Sotheby’ s amongst others.

She draws her inspiration from the sacred architecture and patterns of the Silk Route, realising her early work using a traditional craftsmanship of meenakari enamel.and hand carved stone. Her jewellery explores collaboration and juxtaposition, craftsmanship and heritage, colour and pattern.

For Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Alice has created TOTEM, a collection inspired by her enduring interest in the work of Ettore Sottsass, in particular his ceramic pieces that draw on similar themes of ritual and sacred architecture, and the colours and tones of Eileen Gray’s lacquer screens.

TOTEM is composed by playful totemic rings, handcrafted in London in the workshop of one of Hatton Garden’s last pattern makers and enamelled by one of London finest enamel innovators.

The TOTEM collection is exclusively made for Carpenters Workshop Gallery in limited edition of 8+4.
